The first four chapters were not very eventful and the number of characters that were introduced was overwhelming and it was especially hard to keep the characters straight and I hope that as the book goes on it gets easier to not get them too confused. I was really surprised when the voice came on the loudspeaker accusing every one of the guests of murder. The main concern I had with the first 4 chapters was that there were so many characters but I have a feeling this is going to be a really good book!
I agree completely, the first four chapters were mostly introductions to the characters and a little bit of background on the characters. Early on in the book I was able to tell that some of the characters seemed sketchy and have a questionable background, but it wasn't until the recording played over the load speaker that I realized that they all had a criminal record.
ReplyDeleteI found the book very hard to get into in the first two chapters. It is boring and uneventful because Agatha Christie is just introducing all the characters in the very beginning of the book. As I kept reading, I found myself getting more and more intrigued with the plot. There is a mysterious aura about the idea of strangers gathering on an island together. So far I am thoroughly enjoying the book and look forward to the unraveling of the story.-laura
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree as well with mariah and Michelle. There were almost too many characters to keep up with. With so many characters it was really difficult to even remember people's names from the book. The many characters almost turned me off from the book and it made me want to stop reading it because of the confusion, but I don't want to stops easing because I get a strong feeling that the book will get better. I thought the criminal scene was very intriguing and I want to ow more because it was so strange. Besides it being a little weird in the beginning I can't wait to read more.
ReplyDeleteWithin the first two chapters I found it rather difficult to get into; numerous characters were introduced all at once and the plot didn't seem to spark my interest. However things really started to pick up towards the end of the third chapter. It was revealed that all of the characters that were brought to this mysterious island have a dark secret from their past. After reading this, I knew that many more twists and turns would loom ahead in the story. I have no doubt that this book will progress into the bewildering tale it is known as.
